Spaghetti Dinner:  Reg Smith and Mike Snyder gave final details for tomorrow’s 66th Annual Spaghetti Dinner

Foundation Pool & Raffle Tickets:  Please see Liz Ahrens if you would like to participate in the 2018 Paul Harris Pool. Also, Liz has raffle tickets for $20.00 that can still be purchased

Northmen Night:  John Scholten is selling raffle tickets for the Athletic Department’s annual fundraiser. Tickets are $20.00 and this year the prizes are for cash. The event is Saturday, March 3rd, 8:30 pm at Stafford’s Perry Hotel

PROGRAM:

Andi Shepherd, Asst. Director, Emmet County Recycling, spoke on the “Residential Food Scrap Reduction Initiative.” We Americans landfill one bag of groceries for every four we buy!  Andi shared how Rotarians can drop off food scraps at local farmers markets and the Pleasantview Drop-off Center. Free kitchen compost caddies are available. Food scraps for composting are as follows (both raw and cooked): fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, fish and seafood, including shells, bones, dairy products, egg shells, coffee grounds, coffee filters and tea bags, Baked goods, pasta, baking ingredients, beans, nuts and nutshells, grains, flowers and greenery.
