Life Events:

This was Bob Maldegen’s last meeting in Petoskey as him and Lee will be relocating to Northville to be closer to family. Bob was presented with a plaque and a cake. Stafford Smith, Bill Collins and Randy Evans spoke about Bob’s many accomplishments within our club and the list was long. A STRIVE Scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded in Bob’s name to a deserving student. We will miss Bob and his warm smile and positive attitude

Sidewalk Day Sales:  Dennis Kelly let us know that sidewalks sales was a success we made a little money and got to use our new grills and tents

Citizens Police Academy:  Chief Matt Breed let us know that sign up for the next Citizens Academy is underway. This is a great program for our community

Home Builders Association:  Doug Basel let us know that the Home Builders Association will be having a sporting clays shoot on August 25 at the Charlevoix Gun Club

Assistant Governor Report:  Dave Thomas in his position as Assistant Governor let us know about the up coming events to get us more involved in Rotary. You can check out the district website for details and dates

Program:

Gary Baxter introduced Dawn Hansen from Pedego Electric Bikes who gave us an overview of their electric assist bicycles, regulations about their use around town and on the bike trails and their rental fees and costs
