Steve Cross and Howard Richards were back together and led us in a rousing rendition of “Jail House Rock” and “Smile”

President Bob called on Steve Brown to read the calendar winners, he struggled with a couple of the names but got through it. Click here for the winners: Link

Visiting Rotarians:  Bob Swanson from Birmingham, MI; Sue Metzger from Petoskey Evening Club; Patricia Wimmer from Rochester, MN and Norm Veliquette from Elk Rapids, MI

Visitors:  Being Paul Harris recognition week we had many visitors who had received the award

Dibby Smith: 6 Years

Fellow Member Update:  Deanna Klosinski gave us an update on BJ Shawn, who has been back in the hospital a number of times. We are putting together a care team to check on her and be sure she knows we are here for her still. If you can help get in touch with Jane Millar or Deanna Klosinski

Rotary Foundation and Paul Harris Recognition:  Liz Ahrens spoke about the effect the Foundation has had on the world since its inception and then help Lisa Hicklen present Bill with his pin Plus 2. She also pulled Gary Fedus name from the 2015 pool

Announcements:

Pedal for Polio:  June 16th. If you are still interested get in touch with Terry Newton to be sure you get the correct forms filled out

Jump for Polio:  Bill Collins and Jane Millar jumped out of that perfectly good plane. The group commented that Jane never stopped talking and the ground crew could hear her as she floated down. The event raised a little over $120,000

Officer Exchange:  Jim Beno let us know that the Officer Exchange will be the June 27th at 6:00 at Stafford’s Perry Hotel. This will be our regular meeting for this week. Please RSVP to Jim or sign up the next couple of weeks

Diamonds & Denim Partner 2019:  Liz Ahrens let us know that we are looking for a partner for the 2019 D&D. They need to have the application to her by Monday the 19th

PROGRAM:

Kendall Klingelsmith the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Petoskey and one of our newest members gave us a great program outlining all of the improvements being made within the city parks
