Paul Harris Award:  Bill Collins helped present a Paul Harris Award to Bob Blanz granddaughter Caroline Rose Alford. He reminded us of all the great things Bob did instead of the normal foundation script. Bob was a great man and a great Rotarian. His Daughter Elizabeth Aflord accepted the award for her daughter and we will be sure the next time they are in town to have his granddaughter at a meeting

Diamonds & Denim:  Mike Snyder reminded us the Diamonds & Denim tickets are on sale. Be sure to log on to bidding for good to get yours or if you would like to write a check or pay cash see Mike Snyder or Kassia Perpich and they will get them for you

PRCCI Board Meeting:  Diane Litzenburger let us know there will be a PRCCI board meeting after the club meeting today

Calendar Sales:  Jeff Bodette let us know that it is calendar time again and they will be handed out on September 26th

Kayak for a Cause:  John Scholten is still accepting money for Kayak for a Cause for Mary Ling

Rotary International Director:  The club nominated Chris Etienne for Rotary International Directors position. The motion was unanimously passed

Park Fund Projects:  Steve Cross asked for signups to review Park Fund Projects. If you did not get your name on the list and would like to help contact Steve

Return to Stafford’s Perry:  Our last meeting at the Bay View Inn will be next week August 29th. We will return to Stafford's Perry on September 5th

Member News:  Please keep Dennis Kelly and his family in your thoughts and prayers as Dennis’s son passed this week. Details or funeral and visitation will be on the website

PROGRAM:

Melissa introduced Dr. David Finley the new and only the 4th President of North Central Michigan College. He gave us his background and then asked us what we thought were the strengths, weaknesses and challenges for the college

Next Week’s Program:  Val Meyerson, Petoskey Public Library
