PROGRAM:  Anne Fleming, Little Traverse Conservancy

Anne Fleming from the Little Traverse Conservancy gave an engaging talk today at the Rotary Club, where she highlighted the vital work of the Conservancy in preserving Northern Michigan’s natural landscapes. She discussed the Conservancy's mission to protect approximately 75,000 acres of land for the benefit of future generations, focusing on the importance of the land trust, conservation easements, and the role of local communities in supporting these efforts through volunteerism and financial support.

Fleming also shared updates on recent land acquisitions and conservation projects, emphasizing how public access to nature positively impacts both the environment and residents' quality of life. Her passion for land stewardship was evident, inspiring Rotary members to consider how they, too, can contribute to the preservation of Northern Michigan's natural beauty. They have a very exciting website that can be accessed here: https://landtrust.org/
