Dianne Litzenburger presented a Paul Harris Fellow award to her sister Nancy Murray Noël. Quite the surprise for Nancy and you could tell how special this moment was

Announcements:

Diamonds & Denim:  Reg Smith spoke about the partner for this year’s event being the YMCA. They are looking for a permanent location for the Y. He also stated that there are opportunities for sponsoring the event and left envelopes on the table for Rotarians to step up to the plate for the event. Sidewalk Day Sales:  Angie Cranney and Nikki LaDeur announced that sidewalk sales will be Friday, July 26th. Instead of a food booth, we will have a “dunk tank”. They are looking for volunteers and helpers

Crop Walk:  Walt Byers told us the Crop Walk netted $31,000; 25% will stay for local use

Rotary International:  Joe Blachy told us about his experiences at the 2019 Rotary International Meeting in Hamburg, Germany.  There were 25,000 Rotarians in attendance

New Program Chair:  Stuart Fenton is the new program director.  He is looking for potential programs. Email him with suggestions

Thirsty Thursday’s are Back:  Steve Cross announced that “Thirsty Thursdays” will begin again starting July 18 at 5:30 in the Back Lot

Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra:  Judy Zorn announced two different performances; the first at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts: Midsummer Night’s Dream on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 8:00 pm and the second at Mission Point, Mackinack Island; Celestial Summer on July 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm and July 18, 2019 at Raven Hill Discovery Center with a 7:00 pm performance.
