Our speaker today was Dan Rohn. Dan was born and raised in Alpena. He graduated in 1974 and went to the Chicago Cubs as a second baseman. He spent 13 years playing Professional Ball with the Cubs, Cleveland Indians and Texan Rangers. He retired from the field in 1989 and started his coaching career in 1990 working with numerous teams. He retired from coaching in 2011 and moved to Traverse City. After playing every golf course in Northwest Michigan several times he was open to helping out the local AA Traverse City Beach Bums. He has been the Field manager for the team for the past 4 years.
The program was filled with great baseball stories and also a tutorial on how these teams operate and how they align with the Major Leagues
