ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sidewalk Day Sales:  Dennis Kelly gave us a wrap up on Sidewalk Sales. We made a little over $1,100.00. He also thanked Chip and Jean Frentz for the use of their trailer, Gruler’s for the troughs to cool the pop and water and Amerigas for the donated propane

Field Trips:  Christian Smith let us know that we will be going on a field trip in September to Emmet County Recycling Center and advised everyone to wear closed-toe shoes. Also, remember the August 24th meeting will be at the new Community Athletic Complex and will be hosted by Kent Cartwright

Diamond & Denim:  Ingrid Flemming said now is the time to get your Diamond & Denim tickets. They can be purchased here or see Mike Snyder or call him at 419-439-2356

Special Visitor:  Bob Waldvogel introduced Jim Feldcamp from one of the many Rotary Clubs in Shanghai, China where he is a member. Kent gave him a flag and he will be sending one from his club soon

PROGRAM

Today’s program was our Annual Visit from our District Governor Gernot Runschke and his wife Anne. He gave us brief description of his back ground just in case you missed that he was not born in the United States. He also encouraged all of us to get involved with the Foundation, Youth Exchange and Rotaract. He also encouraged all of us to think about attending the International Conference in Atlanta next year and more details will be coming from the district on that and also the district conference

Next Week’s Program:  Christian Smith will talk about the YMCA and its latest programs and plans for the future
