Voting Day next Tuesday 5/5! In addition to the millage requests for the public schools, there is also a 1 mill renewal request for the Intermediate School District (ISD) that supports 23 different career and tech programs.

The Little Traverse Choral Society has performances this Saturday @ 7:30pm at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church and Sunday @ 3pm at the Harbor Springs Presbyterian Church. 

Dave Thomas presented an award to Drew Smith, Andrea Coronado, and the Perry Hotel for “Outstanding Support of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program”

Our annual Spaghetti Dinner is back. Join us for an evening of great food and fellowship while supporting Rotary’s community projects. Dine-in and carry-out will be available.

Meet at Legacy Water Sports, 8:30 - 10:00 AM

It's that time of year! We're now seeking volunteers to help clean-up our three-mile stretch of road on US-31. Sign-up HERE

 

Teacher of the Year Update:  Maggie Steffey shared that the Teacher of the Year Committee selected Alisa Bowen, a 3rd grade teacher at Sheridan Elementary, as this year's recipient of our Teacher of the Year Award. Maggie, along with Andrea Koch and Georgia Abbott, gave her the award during a recent assembly. Our club will formally honor Ms. Bowen during our May 13 meeting.

Saturday, August 15: Northmen Food Den – Adult Prom Masquerade
Hosted by Rotarian Liz McKenney
Join the Northmen Food Den for Adult Prom: Masquerade on Saturday, August 15 at the Grand Unity Event Center in Petoskey from 5:00 to 11:00 PM. This fun evening invites guests to relive the magic of prom with grown-up flair and includes signature cocktails, appetizers and a buffet dinner by Sweetwater Catering, a live auction, photo booth, and Prom King and Queen voting. Proceeds support the Northmen Den Youth Pantries.

PROGRAM:  Presenters: Executive Director Angela Morris, School of Ballet Artistic Director Heather Raue, and Assistant to the Artistic Director Finley Van Patten which has been serving the community for 55 years through exhibitions, education, and events. Their mission focuses on accessibility, offering many free or low-cost programs, and they have provided over $55,000 in scholarships.

School of Ballet:
Founded by Heather in 2003, the school offers 25 classes per week for students ages 3 through pre-professional levels. Upcoming highlights include a Special Needs performance and the Martha Graham “Graham 100” series. They also offer camps, workshops, and half-day classes for youth.
