On behalf of Jim Wibby, President Schappacher reminded the club that we pay all club dues in July of each year, so you will see this in your July bills, which are coming out soon. Your July bill will be your only bill with dues, after that bills will just reflect lunch charges.
Karen Ragland noted that our club sponsors the July 4th festivities and needs volunteers for Friday and/or Saturday. Refer to the SignUp Genius for volunteer slots. Funds raised totaled $45,000 - thank you!
New Member Induction: Richard Bruder; Richard is excited to join our Rotary Club and become a piece of Petoskey history. A practicing lawyer for 45 years, Richard now focuses on mediation, especially shareholder disputes in family-owned businesses. Please welcome Richard!

Saturday, August 15: Northmen Food Den – Adult Prom Masquerade
Hosted by Rotarian Liz McKenney
Join the Northmen Food Den for Adult Prom: Masquerade on Saturday, August 15 at the Grand Unity Event Center in Petoskey from 5:00 to 11:00 PM. This fun evening invites guests to relive the magic of prom with grown-up flair and includes signature cocktails, appetizers and a buffet dinner by Sweetwater Catering, a live auction, photo booth, and Prom King and Queen voting. Proceeds support the Northmen Den Youth Pantries.

PROGRAM: Jannan Cornstalk – Water is Life Festival
The festival is an annual event held the Saturday before Labor Day to celebrate our connection to water and build power through community. Indigenous women are the protectors of earth and play a leading role in the festival. Because life begins in the womb, women have a traditional and spiritual duty to advocate for and protect the health of the waterways.

In the park near the break wall, 200 Wachtel Avenue, Petoskey
Free, family-friendly event Youth Area to inspire children to get involved and to remind us that we need clean water now and for future generations.
Northsky Raptors bring live birds of prey to join the festival for educational purposes.
Water Connection Hydration Station showcases artesian water from all over the state.
Artisan vendors and non-profit informational booths.
Free Jiiman - canoe rides throughout the day in the bay.
Water Procession where attendees are encouraged to participate.
8 bands from 12pm-9pm. Headliner: blues band Chris Canas.
Water Warrior Award to honor community members who advocate to protect our water. The award is a custom paddle designed by Little Bay Boards.
