Paul Harris Opportunity:  For a limited time only, April 1, 2019 thru May 15, 2019 on a first come first serve basis, Rotary International District 6290 is offering to match a gift of $500.00 to the Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund, with 500 recognition points to name a Paul Harris Fellow. District Conference:  The District Conference is in Soo Ontario this year, May 2 – 4. We will also be installing the new District Governor, our very own Dave Thomas

Veterans Support at NCMC:  Melissa Colby let us know that there is now a lounge for Student Vets at the college. There will be an open house on April 10 from 7-4. This area is located in the Gym in the Student Resources Building

Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra:  Stuart Fenton let us know that there will be a special concert with the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra on April 28 with Violins of Hope at Great Lakes Center for the Arts for a 7:00 pm performance. The Violins of Hope are a collection of restored instruments played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust

Tokin Shops:  Joe Blachy let us know that they are forming a committee to discuss the chance of marijuana dispensaries opening-up in Petoskey. See Joe for more details

Roadside Cleanup:  Tim Kaufman let us know that the date for Roadside Clean-up will be May 11. More details to follow

Program:  Carlin Smith introduced Mary Catherine Hannah from the Little Traverse Bay Housing Partnership, who gave us some great information on the affordable housing crisis in Northern Michigan. This is not an easy problem to solve but one that needs to be addressed. They have a meeting planned for 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the North Central Michigan College library conference center
