PROGRAM:  Jane Garver, Little Traverse Historical Museum

We began with a Paul Harris Fellowship presentation. Joe Blachy awarded a fellowship to his granddaughter. In high school she was a Rotary exchange student to Croatia. She graduated from Loyola University last year.

Next, we enjoyed a presentation by Jane Garver from the Little Traverse History Museum. The museum is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Jane talked about its newest exhibit, "From Bear River to Petoskey." There are also exhibits centered on Ernest Hemingway, and lasting legacies of women in this area.

Jane mentioned that the Museum offers walking tours, history talks, and research workshops. They organize an annual ice cream social, corn roast, and bike fest as well.
